Downtown Hillsboro businesses could earn money for storefront improvements

Under a proposed agreement, Metro and the city each would kick in $120,000 for the Hillsboro Main Street Enhancement Initiative. The money would go toward "highly visible improvements" to building facades and interiors. The money would also pay for training programs and workshops aimed at significantly revamping the look of downtown.
